Sydney Harbours Spectacular Views

After the previous night/early morning shenanigans Crystal, Kenzie, Taylor and I completely missed the rest of the morning and were craving breakfast around 2pm. Jamaica Blue, just across the street, came to the rescue.

These guys serve reasonably priced brekky until 4pm. It's pretty delicious too, although I was marginally disappointed the yolk of my poached egg wasn't runny. Aside from the solid yolks, everything else was top notch. Please cast your eyes on the Masterchef quality presentation. There was a secret garden on our plates.

The service was also exceptional. It probably helped a little that we were the only people in the restaurant. One of the benefits of eating breakfast after the lunch rush.

Our next stop was the shops. Kenzie remained sans luggage, so it was time to find some clean clothes. First came window shopping in the Queen Victoria Building (QVB).

Then came some real shopping in Westfield. Kenzie scored a couple of bargains at Dotti. Next we hopped on (sensibly walked on while minding the gap) a train to Circular Quay. Kenzie jumped up with excitement upon catching her first glimpse of the Harbour through the carriage window.

Up close the view was even better.

Selfie time started.

Then the standard tourist shots began.

Kenzie, Crystal and I explored the Opera House very closely.

The three of us joined Taylor and her dad for dinner at the Great Southern Hotel.

They had a $13 schnitty special, but I opted for the salt and pepper calamari.

My blog notes tell me it was "quite good", but it was honestly not memorable. Following a quite good feed and a really good chat the time had come to head back to our hotel. The final roomie from 22103 to join the reunion was on her way. Anna would be arriving from Melbourne very soon!
