Kenzie and I lived together in Orlando in apartment 22103, along with some other fabulous friends.
We all moved out of apartment 22103 in June 2015. In the next few blog posts read about the reunion of 22103 in January 2017.
It was January 4. I had been preparing for Kenzie's arrival from Missouri, USA. I cleaned my tiny home and purchased traditional Aussie food. Today I was set to see Kenzie for the first time in forever.
Airline delays had other ideas resulting in Kenzie arriving 26 hours later than originally planned.
I found my way to Sydney Airport without getting lost. Kenzie's bag, on the other hand, was lost. Air New Zealand assured her it would be at our hotel in Sydney the next day.
On the drive home from the airport Kenzie was impressed by the bright police cars on the highway. We found the Nepean River and took a stroll.
We can pretend we walked around just to soak in the sights and view the available activities.
The truth is we were searching for the floating restaurant, Bennett's. It was nowhere to be found. We settled for lunch at Coffee Club on the River. The static eatery satiated our hunger. Once home we enjoyed an animal themed movie marathon, through which Kenzie stayed awake for approximately one third.
We had an early night ahead of the next day's outing to Featherdale Wildlife Park. The weather was slightly miserable, but our experience certainly wasn't.
We were greeted by friendly, informative service and a host of native Australian animals.
While some of the roos and wallabies loved the food you could purchase.
Others were partial to relaxing.
This guy was loving the camera. He knows his angles.
Apparently not all snakes understand parsel tongue.
Kenzie met a koala for the first time.
I crashed the party.
We made a few feathered friends.

On the drive to lunch Kenzie was puzzled, "What's a tony?"
"I'm not sure. Is it a restaurant?"
She repeated what she'd read on the sign, "No turning if you are over three tony's."
"Oh! You mean tonnes."
When this story was told to fellow 22103 friend Crystal the next day, she cried with laughter as she imagined a man called Tony standing on the side of the road and all vehicles bigger than him being prevented from turning.
It was still raining, so the undercover parking at Westfield Penrith was perfect. We toured the plaza on the way to The Red Cow.
We shared lunch from the cheap menu.
Kenzie ate chicken schnitzel with gravy for the first time.
Remember that time I appointed myself chief schnitty judge?
Well, Red Cow does a mean, cheap schnitty. I recommend it.
Tim Tam cheesecake was the perfect shared conclusion to our meal. It was a little small for the $10 price tag, but that negative factor was outweighed by its deliciousness.
Following lunch we headed back to my place to pack for our stay in the city and to be joined by some more 22103 friends.
