Gang's All Here

Anna arrived! Our 22103 reunion was complete. Initially we were content catching up in our hotel room.

Then instead of reminiscing, we decided to go out and make new memories. It was after midnight. Nobody turned into pumpkins, so we put on party clothes and realised this was the first time all five of us had hung out together outside our 22103 apartment.

We hit up Side Bar.

This backpacker haven offered lots of repetitive techno and calorie burning. By 3am I'd completed over 7000 steps. Many of them strange dance steps.

Taylor and Crystal had left the bar earlier than the rest of us. When we got back to the hotel Taylor and Crystal pointed out we'd had a roomie reunion. Anna, Kenzie and I shared a room, impromptu dance parties and sleep talked conversations for five months.

Later that morning after a bit of sleep we headed to Pancakes on the Rocks.

Excitement gripped us all! Pancake breakfasts were a tradition for us back in Orlando.

We reached the restaurant and saw the line.

The long line, winding up the stairs. I wondered if just as it began to appear that we were at the front, we would step into another room of winding lines. I also flashbacked to the times at Pizza Planet when some guests would wait over an hour just to order.

Thankfully our line moved quickly and we were seated after a short wait.

Deciding which pancakes to order took longer.  All our orders either contained an alteration or an additional side, so it was understandable we accidentally received an extra side of strawberries that were sadly taken away. Once out of sight, I realised they would've accompanied my Vanilla and Chocolate Pancake Surprise perfectly.

Was I eating cake for breakfast? Close enough. I devoured delicious panCAKES and I use the term "breakfast" very loosely as it was already the afternoon.

Taylor's friend Luke arrived just before we departed. Thank goodness he was there because our attempts at a selfie with the Opera House in the background failed miserably.

Luke stepped in to take the money shot.

Our journey to the Harbour Bridge took us through these streamered walkways.

We also past photos of muggles, witches and wizards who have completed the bridge climb.

Once on the bridge we caught some fabulous views of the Harbour.

Crystal and Kenzie even paid $10 each to climb up a pillon to even better views.

We travelled back to our hotel before packing our belongings, walking to Central station and saying our see ya real soons!

Taylor was to catch a plane home to Brisbane, Anna was catching a train to next job at Mossvale and I was boarding a train back to Penrith. On which I would meet someone who was shocked I didn't get burnt that day (sunscreen), said I looked like I was from Penrith (still not sure how I was supposed to take that) and offered me a grape (I politely declined).

Crystal and Kenzie were spending a couple more days in Sydney. At Central they caught a train to the airport. Kenzie was determined to retrieve her luggage... and she did! She finally got her suitcase ahead of her adventures in the Blue Mountains with Crystal and I the next day.
