My attire included pieces collected in far off lands, such as The Bahamas, New Orleans and Disney World. It also featured a homemade hook.
Prepared for battle as Captain Hook from Finding Neverland, I drove to Cassie's house.
Upon arrival I discovered I was not quite ready for battle. The brief drive up the mountain was sole destroying. I stepped out of my car to find half my sole flapping off my right boot. Cassie, dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, not only saved the day by lending me a pair of boots, but also inspired me with her facial hair.
#FauxMo
After giving my old footwear the boot, it was smooth sailing. At the party Genie, Jasmine and Red Riding Hood showed us to the red carpet.
I ain't saying we're gold diggers, but here's a photo of us fighting over gold.
I scoured the party in search of more loot.
They were actually letting you take lolly bags.
We sashayed down to the rest of the revellers.
Helium was inhaled by a good witch desperate to be popular.
I fraternised with a prison escapee.
The sales tactics of the usher, played by Danielle Roorda, would not work on me.
Captain Hook forced the usher to choose between taking a couple of photos or walking the plank. Good thing she chose photography, because I'd left my plank at Bunnings.
Theatre critics were conversing with characters.
Nuggie buddies reunited, sadly sans nuggies. The smiles mask the pain.
Lachlan was also at his own party. He started the night as Danny from Grease, but then reverted back to a Jet. Because when you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way. From your first West Side Story rehearsal to your 18th birthday.
For some reason I'm not looking at the camera. Candid selfies are a thing, right?
I danced until my faux mo was joined by a sweat mo.
We were warmed up. Ready to sing a rockin' tune - Happy Birthday! That thing really went off.
Cake and an astonishing assortment of desserts were served.
The cupcakes smelt divine, but I spent my dessert calories on the lemon meringue pie.
So worth it!
The usher and I owned the dance floor, playing a few throwback tracks. For about 10 songs it was literally just us busting out moves. Our quads endured a solid workout with songs like Low and If Ya Gettin' Down.
Don't cha wish your girlfriend was fun like us?
Big fun! Don't cha?
The party was a truly sparkling occasion.
Thanks for staging an awesome event, Lachlan!
