So Long, Farewell

Australia, you're beautiful, but it's time for me to see other countries.

I'm moving to England and rather than just jumping on a plane and shouting general farewells to Australia, I thought I'd attempt some goodbyes in person.

A couple of weeks ago when Elena realised she would be returning from her Japan trip after I left, the tears started and so did the goodbyes.

Dee, Steph, Dani, Simone and I caught up at a non-blog worthy restaurant, especially on Monday. Apparently they run out of everything on Mondays. Thankfully my friendships with my gorgeous Forever New girls are full of substance and fun... even on Mondays.

The beautiful Keish and I grabbed a little chicken and a big hug.

Lucas and I played with a car park, because I don't know when I'll get to drive again.

Then I farewelled childhood family friends Aunty Jo, Uncle Brian, Bec and Lucas.

Disney roomie, Anna and I went to a totally blog worthy restaurant. Chef's Gallery was a reasonably priced, delicious, Chinese experience.

My legendary Grandpa and I ate a pub lunch before he wished me well on my latest adventure.

Uni buddies Tic, Aly and I opted for Indian fare from Talking Tables. Aside from the disappointment of the silent tables, it was an excellent experience. We reminisced and about the future. Tic and I pretended to have broken fingers in support of Aly.

It was an exciting time of hide-and-seek, toy cars and attempted peace signs when I farwelled the Bruce family beauties. I'll definitely miss the Cassie, Koa and Kylah balls of energy. Koa is pretty excited to see the Queen, so I think she might visit.

Sue, David, Ava and Bella supported me in the audience of my lastest musical theatre endeavour. I'm pretty sad to be leaving their roast dinner catch-ups behind.

Laur and Leesh made the trip up the Mountain to say goodbye too. I'm super grateful for their friendship and encouragement.

Yesterday Samantha and I reunited after 18 months apart.

We used to room together at Disney and got this crazy idea that we should move to England. Well, tomorrow we set off, but first I had to bid adieu to Sydney. The rain held off for a fantastic Vivid evening. We sussed out Circular Quay, Botanic Gardens, The Rocks.

We carried on our tradition of Mickey ear photos in front of iconic landmarks.

Samantha is from New Zealand and only came to Sydney when she was 3, so I thought she should touch the Opera House.

Today's breakfast was eggs benedict at Jamaica Blue.

Then we set off for the Powehouse Museum.

I was very grateful to see Clare who only looked slightly different to this.

The Sherlock Holmes exhibition was a fun way to rule out detective as job possibility, mainly because I don't suit a monocle.

Found out about love and looked at dresses that were "too diamond-ish".

I even designed my own.

The wedding outfits of Lachy and Emma from the Wiggles were totally swoon worthy.

Then we toot, toot, chugga, chugged to the next exhibitions. I had a Wiggly good time as the fifth, green Wiggle.

We headed back out in the rain. Obviously the city is crying because I'm leaving.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of my Aussie Adventures! Without you this blog would've just been awkward selfies. This might be the end of Aussie Adventures for now, but you can keep up with my British Adventures at
