Started by 2011 MasterChef contestant, Jay Huxley, it boasts bold decor of red walls, black and white prints and cow print seats.
The black cushioned booth backdrop is perfect for a few silly selfies.
You could also choose to be a little more refined.
Service was exceptional. Upon discovering our squished party of five couldn't handle the booth, another table was promptly joined to ours. Now we had more room for drinks from the bar.
Would HUX meat our MasterChef quality expectations?
According to mum, her meal was, "the best schnitzel I've ever had." There wasn't even a drop of gravy swishing around the plate.
The generously portioned lamb cutlets were served with a beautiful selection of vegetables. My five year old self would be shocked that I've provided vegetables with such high praise.
The pork ribs were a succulent mess of deliciousness falling off the bone.
A few of us shared the creme brûlée.
We were suspended in a majestic dessert bubble from the first crack of the sleek top layer to the last delicious morsel of dark chocolate mousse with pistachios and strawberries.
It would be a mis-steak not to visit HUX Grill.
